PUMA CUP:
U-10 Girls "PUMA CUP CHAMPIONS". These were the first games that the U-10 Girls have played since adding two new players to their team, Beth Montgomery and Marilyn Garcia. The girls lost their first game of the Tournament on Saturday, 3-2 against the Lakeland Shockers, but then came back on Sunday, for games two and three, beating Braden River, (undefeated last season), 2-0 and Oldsmar, (who lost to our girls in the Region C Finals), 3-1. The girls then went on to beat, West Pasco in the Finals 1-0.
U-17 Girls "PUMA CUP FINALIST". The girls started off giving their competition a run for their money. Saturday, they beat Central Pasco Spartans 7-0 and Pinellas United 8-0. On Sunday, they beat West Pasco F.C. 4-0 giving our girls a shot for the Championship. On Monday, the girls lost in the last few seconds, in what was a heartbreaking game, 2-1 to the Clearwater Chargers.
U-19 Girls "PUMA CUP CHAMPIONS". The girls had a tough first game of the tournament, but pulled out a win 3-2 against Gulf Coast United Blue. Sunday, the girls continued their streak, beating Braden River Rage 8-0 and The Lakeland Shockers 4-0. This put the girls in the Championship game on Monday, where they would have their third shutout of the Tournament, beating West Pasco FC Elite 4-0.
The U-12 Boys also competed in the tournament. They lost 2 and tied 1.
